"To date, I have attended 14 CASC conferences, nearly all of which I received financial aid for. Without scholarships for these conferences, especially the in-years (SABE, SABLE and YASC), I would not have been able to impart my community in the way I do today. Through these conferences, I have contributed to four legislation and policy proposals and started conversations amounting to one 350 emails with education professionals among other undertakings. CASC has taught me how to become an effective communicator, a passionate activist, and most of all, an empathetic leader.
